About Paul
Art has been part of my life since childhood. After years of painting watercolor images of flowers, I decided to move on. European bistro scenes became my focus, using acrylics and then oils. I was fascinated by the human interactions that occur over a glass of wine or dinner. In recent years, my interest has been centered on portraiture using oil pastels. My subjects range from a homeless man to internationally known artists, musicians, authors, and a theologian. All have some thing unique about them. Resilience, inner strength, or a glint in their eye. My goal is to communicate those characteristics to the viewer.
